Our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Morley, is looking for a Machine Operator to join their team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of and willingness to learn how to use and program various machinery, including punches, guillotines, and press brake machines. The role will involve operating and setting up the machines, as well as changing tooling when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various machinery, including punches, guillotines, and press brake machines.
- Set up the machines and adjust the settings based on job requirements.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimum performance.
- Change tooling and adjust as needed.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the production process.
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating machinery, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of machine operations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently produce high-quality work.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Knowledge of health and safety protocols within a manufacturing environment.
