We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager of behalf of our client in Bradford. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, directing, and developing the internal and external sales team, as well as driving the achievement of sales targets and expanding the customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, direct, and develop the internal and external sales team
- Train existing and new members of the sales team
- Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Understand customer business needs and objectives
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
- Keep updated on industry specific trends
- Report on forces that impact tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
- Benchmark competitor market and work with Product Development and Marketing teams to implement strategies for new products
- Determine annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as a sales executive, meeting or exceeding targets
- Ability to communicate, present, and influence at all levels
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Demonstrable experience developing client-focused solutions
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
- Market knowledge and commercial awareness
- Excellent listening, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build rapport and maintain strong relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and planning skills
- Must be flexible regarding working hours and be willing to travel
